Shelved helps you track, rate, and review books, manga, and comics; follow other readers; build lists; and, if you want extra features, subscribe to Pro. We built it to be useful, not perfect — the service is provided "as is," and we can't promise the catalogue data pulled in from third parties (Open Library, AniList, MyAnimeList, Google Books) is always accurate. Our Cookie Policy has more on how those integrations work.

• You need to be at least 13 years old to sign up.
• Keep your password to yourself — you're responsible for whatever happens under your account.
• Use a real email address, and pick a username that doesn't impersonate someone else or rip off a trademark.
• Break our Community Guidelines or these Terms, and we may suspend or close your account.

Everything you post — reviews, ratings, lists, comments, your profile — stays yours. Posting it just gives Shelved a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to show it as part of running the service, like displaying your review on a book's page or your activity in a follower's feed. That's permission to use it, not a transfer of ownership. You're responsible for what you post and confirm you have the right to post it. And please keep it genuine — reviews and ratings should reflect what you actually think, not a swap or a favour. See the Community Guidelines for more.

The covers and metadata you see come from third-party sources (Open Library, AniList, MyAnimeList/Jikan, Google Books) when a title is added, or when a Pro user requests alternate covers. That artwork belongs to its publishers and rights holders — we use it only to identify and discuss titles, not to compete with anyone. If you're a rights holder and want an image taken down, email vincible.ae@gmail.comand we'll remove it.

Pro is a paid annual subscription, billed in USD through Stripe. We never see or store your card details — Stripe handles that part. If you want to cancel or ask for a refund, our Refund Policy covers how that works.

Don't scrape or bulk-extract data from Shelved without permission. Don't try to get around rate limits or security controls. Don't upload malware. Don't infringe someone else's intellectual property or privacy. And don't use Shelved for anything unlawful.

Shelved is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. In plain terms: when you use Shelved, you're trusting us to keep things running, and if something goes wrong on our end, [YOUR LEGAL NAME OR COMPANY NAME]isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, to the extent the law allows. That said, nothing here limits liability that Australialaw says can't be limited — things like death, personal injury, or fraud.

We might update these Terms from time to time. If we make a real change, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. If you keep using Shelved after that, we'll take it as you accepting the new version.
